Life is loud. Life is hard. Forget the calm, let’s capture the chaos! :)

52Frames is designed to improve your craft in  3 main categories: Creativity, Story, and Technique.
This week’s challenge is designed to hone first and foremost your storytelling skills.
What story would you like to create? What does “chaos” look like to you?

Tips and Tuts for this week:

  • Check out these cool “chaotic” photos from photographers all over the world
  • Channel the greats! Draw inspiration from surrealist painters like Salvador Dali and Rene Magritte. Or, surrealist photographers like Ronen Goldman, Oleg Oprisco, and Erik Johansson
  • Just because it seems mundane, doesn’t mean it is! There is beauty in the everyday mess and the craziness of daily life. Show it off!

Looking for more inspiration? Check out our “Dreams & Fantasies” album from 2015. And of course, The Googles! Oh you sweet Googles.

Extra Credit: Composite Image

For some extra credit joojoo, try creating a composite image! A composite image is made up of several images, combined into one. Check out this handy tutorial on how to create a composite image. Then once you’re ready, check out this video screencast (by yours truly) on how to apply layer masks in Photoshop!

Check out the Googles for some more inspiration.

Remember, it is not necessary to keep this Extra Credit challenge in mind while shooting. It’s extra credit!

*Please note!! You can only submit ONE photo per week, for the week’s challenge. This photo can include the “Extra Credit” part of the challenge, or the “regular” challenge, but you can never submit more than one photo!
