To paraphrase Shakespeare “some people are born taking great photos, some achieve those great photos”. We are all here in 52Frames because we want to achieve that greatness that we see in others. This week, we’re taking the chance to model ourselves after someone who became famous from their photographic greatness. Take a look at a photographer that you admire, look at the techniques that they use, and try and emulate their style!

Tips and Tuts for this week:

  • A good rule of thumb is: if they have a Wikipedia page, they’re famous.Of course, this is certainly not true of all things, but in this case, it works for us! Check out this list here for some ideas.
  • Don’t go crazy trying to replicate every detail of a photo as you see it. Keep in mind, this photographer is meant to inspire you, not tell you exactly what to do!
  • Take a look at this list of some of the great photographers of the 20th century!
  • Learn from some of the masters! See what these guys have to tell us about being better photographers.
