Week 46: Life

Photo by: Shani Shalgi – Week 37: Kissing (2012)

This week’s album is dedicated to the memory of Hadar Shalgi (1982 – 2013), the sister of long-time Framer, Shani Shalgi. When I asked Shani what this album’s theme should be, Shani explained that Hadar was passionate, an inspiration, and a lover of life. We both felt it fitting to use this meaningful date to celebrate LIFE.

Senseless deaths such as these remind us how short and fragile our time here can be. What’s most important, is that we take pause, and take in what we are grateful for in life. Your mission this week, creative Framers, is to photograph LIFE. Show us your happy place, a special moment in time, or what you struggle with, what makes your heart sing, what special occasion you are celebrating or how you are honoring your passed loved ones.

Remember that we as photographers are the memory keepers of our times. Languages change, landscapes change, but images are so much more timeless and can communicate the way that we dress, celebrate or just go about your daily lives, in an instant.

If you have one chance to show how we lived now, in the week of the 6th to the 12 of November 2017, what photo would you take?
