Eating one Brazil nut per day can provide you with more than enough selenium to meet RDA.

Selenium is a mineral that has many health benefits, including:

Metabolism: Selenium can help boost metabolism and burn fat.

Thyroid health: Selenium is essential for healthy thyroid function.

Immune system: Selenium supports the immune system and helps wounds heal.

Inflammation: Selenium can reduce inflammation and improve gut health.

Mood: Selenium can support mood balance. Low levels of selenium have been linked to mood disorders like anxiety and depression.

Cancer: Higher levels of selenium intake may be effective in preventing certain types of cancer.

Heart health: Selenium can support heart health.

Brain health: Selenium can support brain health.

Brazil nuts are also rich in other nutrients, including:
Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, Zinc, Omega 3 and 6, Magnesium, and Ellagic acid.

However, eating too many Brazil nuts can lead to selenium toxicity. Limit yourself to no more than 3 per day.

Clever and interesting image Susan. Nicely done. And I thought I was the only one eating a Brazil nut a day.   :)

Susan, this looks like it should be in a Brazil Nut campaign ad!  Perfectly minimalist!  And thanks for the Brazil nut PSA!
