    Nice-nice-nice.  I agree with you:  being able to see into the shadows (both on the ground and on the overhang) really  makes this photo.

    This takes this week's option of placing something in the middle of the frame, and I am, delighted you did. I initially felt there was too  much negative space applied, but no, the cropping and recognizing what the available light did for this image makes it one of my favorites this week.
