"On the ground" + "macro" = mushroom hunting. One of my favorite things to photograph are mushrooms. I visited a great place to find mushrooms and was well rewarded. This is a birch polypore that grows very well in the local state park. Lotss of fun going out hunting for mushrooms.

    Awesome macro shot, Debra!  You even got the whole thing in focus which I find hard to do with macro.  Wonderful light and detail!
