I initially had another shot in mind but changed the idea at the last minute. This year has a been a struggle for many. I wanted the photo to be relatable. I think through this pandemic we’ve all felt sad or lonely at one point.

You're facial expression certainly reflects the mood of this past year, Melinda.

Perhaps if you had used a smaller aperture (say f/9 or f/11) you could have gotten yourself a little sharper but still leaving the background soft and blurry.

Great topic for the challenge and perfect feeling/emotion your captured. Nicely done.
