“ And so it begins ”

This beautiful yet unwieldy creature fluttered slowly over the patio, where I was cleaning and came to an abrupt stop on the stones. They look a bit prehistoric, which makes sense. The 17 year return of the cicadas is just the perfect segue from the May that lasted for twenty years... last time ...

I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a cicada. At least now I know what to look for! :). Nice focus on this guy.
