“ Starting Line ”

Too busy again this week to focus on 52 Frames. My weekend culminated in a trip to MotoX racing to try and get a sports photo for a Diploma assignment. Tried to use the event as a double whammy by looking for potential negative space shots too.

An interesting shot, I like it. The sky counts as negative space. You could have zoomed in a bit closer to the bikes.

Like Alan and Carolyn I think this shot could work. Cropping down close to the riders would have made the grass in front the negative space which they would be moving… more

This picture made me think Nichola :) - I think that I agree with Carolyn, a tighter crop on the riders would have been good with 1/3 or possibly less sky and maybe with them on LHS of image. But it was a great spot of the subject and photo opportunity and I love how uniform the riders look spread out in their line despite their varied colours - There is something very appealing about this shot - so well done :)

I think maybe you should have concentrated just on the paddock as your negative space and cropped out the sky as much as possible. It is too distracting in my opinion… more

I think maybe you should have concentrated just on the paddock as your negative space and cropped out the sky as much as possible. It is too distracting in my opinion. The ground with the riders would have been a good shot I think.
