    Excellent bird in flight shot, great job!

    For water drops, I usually stick a thing in the bowl (I use a little plastic army dude) before I fill it and before I start dropping and use that to focus. With a small enough aperture it usually is pretty good. I use a drop machine set to trigger my flash, then use a 1 or 2 second exposure on my camera - click the shutter, then click the drop button which triggers the flash. I tried it without the drop machine a few years ago and it was really really hard to manage the drops, shutter, and flash all at the same time.
