“ Closeup of the Purim Megillah ”
This is a closeup of a Megillah, or scroll, with my husband's silver pointer. We read this (normally at the synagogue) on the Jewish Purim holiday. This year, we read the Megillah at home rather than at the synagogue. It was a weird Purim.

I always enjoy learning when you share images of your living faith. I’m a little thrown by the texture of the cloth beneath the Megillah, I’m sure it has significance to the scroll but for this image I think I’d have preferred the scroll fill the screen with the pointer more fully laying on the scroll. Peace be with you.

The beauty of this parchment is exquisite. It does lend itself to having the camera facing down vertically which would certainly change your settings as I'm sure that f 2 may be too narrow to allow for the arch of the paper. I am troubled by the fact that you have included the tablecloth which is a distraction to the beauty of the printed word. I do think that the texture of the paper, the silver pointer and the words give you the three elements and adding additional elements is not necessary.

Such classic elements in a beautiful shot.
