    Some learnings and alternative shots: 
     Using the camera app as remote control is cool for self portraits, as you can see, what you are actually doing in front of the camera,  you figure out how it works with DOF, focus and more 
     Hiding your phone on the other hand is a night mare within 10 sec as it is 3 times the size of the remote control and - then you forget how you wanted to pose.
