I just discovered that my Fuji has a "pre-shot" feature that lets me hold the shutter down part-way while I focus on a bird that I think is about to take off. Once it does, I fully depress the shutter and the prior 20 frames are saved to the memory card. This worked great for this week's Fast ...

Its color is oh so gorgeous, but my favorite part of your shot is how it caught every individual feather of the far wing. Great job at getting that sharp eye, too!
