“ Field barn ”
I've captured this field barn a few times but not with any great satisfaction. Applying the subject "negative space" has given it a bit more meaning - I think. Black and white was the way to go and has created two levels of negativity in the sky and darker foreground

    Oh wow- the negative space is so stark here, that at first, I thought the thumbnail hadn't loaded properly! In a typical photo, I think the smaller trees on the right would get lost, but the stark contrast and negative space really allows you to focus in on them and see the contrast against the much larger trees on the left. I echo your thoughts and Mary Ann's- black and white was definitely the right choice here.

    Super choice for the brief. The barn seems nestled into to low hill and the trees on the hill, to the left, offer interesting framing. Black and white was the way to go… more
