“ Sad Prickly Pear ”

Last week was rough for the prickly pear cacti in Texas. On a hike in the Balcones National Wildlife Refuge, many were completely grey and/or drooped to the ground. I was fascinated by the ones that look like they'll bounce back soon... not pretty, but very cool patterns of coloration.
