By ordinance, Portland photographers are required to make pilgrimage to the Japanese Garden every fall. Homage is paid to a Japanese Maple that has become known simply as The Tree.

    Oh no!  I've been breaking the law for over 30 years!  I guess I better head to the Japanese Gardens before Dec 21st :-)  Great shot.

    Yes, I gave up the pilgrimage a few years ago. Too crowded.  But I'm glad you did, a wonderful view of the tree.  I like the colors and fish-eye view. … more
