“ Jax ”
Busy weekend and I almost forgot to take a picture for the challenge. Had a moment of panic trying to think of something I could shoot quick - then looked over at our black cat, Jax. He let me take two shots - then he'd had enough. He lives life on his own terms (but we love him).

The lighting here is great, and extra impressive knowing how hard it is to capture black animals + make them stay still!

Love the lighting on the whiskers and the hint of light on his back. His eyes remind me of an owl! Very good low key portrait.

Aww. I just commented on another lovely black pet (a dog) I worked in dog rescue and all agree black dogs are notoriously difficult to photograph. And it is even more challenging to catch their expressions. You did a wonderful job of both with the kitty And those eyes! Such a nice photo and truly low key yet detailed. Nice job!
