“ The Floor is Lava ”

Initially, I was going to crop out the benches but seeing the swirling brick around them really gives a sense of motion to the ground. The location is the courtyard of a very small local collage campus - very artistic in my opinion!

I like the swirl of the tiles and the placement of the benches in the photo. The shadow on top adds some contrast, which I think is good here. Makes me think it was a lot of work for the brick layers :).

The pattern is fabulous- makes my eyes go swirly! I agree that lifting the shadows on the bench would bring out its texture and contrast with the smooth undulating… more

The pattern is fabulous- makes my eyes go swirly! I agree that lifting the shadows on the bench would bring out its texture and contrast with the smooth undulating floor. Lovely - and we’ll spotted.

Yes very artistic, and I think you are right, the benches do add stability to the perception of movement. Well spotted... I really like the rigid shape of the bricks but that feeling of movement. Also the randomness of the colours... I wonder if you could raise the shadows slightly on the bench, I think it might add more texture.
