“ Fallen ”
I went to an abandoned outdoor museum hoping for some interesting shots but the place was too overgrown. It was just a mess of growth. While there however, I found a huge leaf and decided to use home lighting to bring out some of the details.

Very dramatic Marla, almost Film Noir. The viewer can feel the texture, as if that leaf would crunch at the touch...

Really interesting composition. I love the spikey detail at the bottom, disappearing to darkness at the top - a bit like the leaf itself, slowly disintegrating, disappearing. It’s very tactile. I can feel the crispness of the leaf as it dries out. Great interpretation of Wabi Sabi.

    I love this in B&W

I would like to see more of the detail at the top.

But the close up, the composition and depth of field is so nice.
