I've recently taken up kayaking. Nothing too mad at the moment, just a bit of river work. Today I started another course, trying to improve my technique.

I like the diagonal line the kayak creates. I think it would look better if the paddle were at a different angle than the kayak. Good luck with the kayaking!

The diagonal composition seems to work well. I like the b&w processing also, it draws attention to the shapes.
