“ Trumpeter Swans at Golden Hour ”
I finally got out to see the trumpeter swans, even though it was -5 degrees F when capturing these shots! I knew I had only 1 or 2 sunny days this week, even though it is SO cold here in Minnesota. But it was magical and totally worth every minute.

    The backlighting and cold temperatures on this day helped to create such a lovely photo. My eye is drawn to the dark swan in the front, the drama of the water dripping off the beak, it's a powerful image on its own. Then the steam and and warm glow of the scene behind is such a fantastic contrast. Together it is just beautiful well worth the early morning and frigid temperature.
