    You captured a lot of great textures. For a shred, the image doesn't seem to be in clear focus. My guess is because you used a rather slow shutter speed. Two things, with living things it's a great idea to increase your shutter speed in general. Don't be afraid of increasing your ISO! I mainly shoot children, and I pretty consistently use 1/250 or higher. Second, there's this focal length rule that to have a sharp photo, you need your shutter speed to be at least twice your focal length. This means that if you are shooting at 45mm, your shutter speed needs to be at least 1/90 for a clear photo. I hope this helps. You captured great grey values and such a cute expression.
