“ B's favourite ”
A friend gave me five large boxes of old jeans. I was to cut them into strips for rag rugs. Since there were more than I needed, I made myself a lap quilt. The youngest grandson (age 5) had other ideas. This is "his" quilt but it lives at Grandma's house. I can use it when he's not here.

How pretty!  The colored dots on the checkerboard squares make me think of toy cars. I love the story behind your Grandson's quilt.  I'm glad he's willing to share it with you.  The fluffy edges of the squares - I assume you sewed them together and left the frayed edges exposed until they turned into fringes?  What a wonderful idea! I wand to try that (except I'm too lazy to do more than THINK about cutting so many squares....)
