“ A dog's (cat's) view ”
I have to say that this isn't an original idea, but it's what I rolled with. If I had more time, I would have located my mini figures. One figure would have stood at the top with a string (umm, rope), and the second figure would have been rappelling up.

    This reminds me of cliff faces and how you can see the different layers change over the eons.  With the most recent layer on top: the house!
