    The dilemma of compromise is epitomised by your explanation and your photograph. I do agree that it would have been unnecessary to have focus stacked your shot. I do perceive a high degree of saturation in the grass so I wonder whether there is a bracketing of your shot, very effective. As your explanation is said, you've taken a different route to achieving the same as a mixture of focus stacking and bracketing which I agree looks very effective. Great job.
