“ You Can Call Me Woman ”
This week was an interesting one--I had an idea in mind for this already, but when it came to how I wanted this photo to be interpreted I had to think for awhile.

When I think about "woman", I don't typically see myself that way. Society has a bigger role in identifying me as "woman" ...

Nicely composed. I really like that the color of her outfit matches the colors in your tattoo. Congratulations on becoming a mom. Just be YOU!

I love how she is looking at the camera, what a great memory you've captured Danielle.

I always love all of your portraits... especially now that there's a baby in the mix! I would love to see what you could do with a flash! Beautiful storytelling!

I love this photo so much. Those eyes of your child are amazing. The love you have for her shines through.

I love your backstory. I've always admired you for being true to yourself. I'm so glad we live in an era where it's more acceptable to be ourselves without having to force ourselves into a mold.  Society tried so hard to put labels upon us and forced us into a "box" when I was growing up. I'm a tomboy through and through and hated being what society deemed to be a "woman" even though I identify as such. I'm a rebel at heart. It's hard to explain. Thank you for being you.
