“ What's Left of Our Youth ”
There's a tree outside of my friend's house that looms over the skate park with dozens of pairs of shoes hanging from its branches. I'm sure each pair has its own story, but these in particular stood out to me with the way the light was hitting it, reminding me of an ending of a coming of age movie.

    I haven't seen the shoes hanging from trees but have seen padlocks on fences. Great find and capture. Love the idea of shoes showing a story. Lovely light

    I like it! This seems to be a growing trend that I'm seeing more of, and every time I see shoes dangling like this, whether from a tree, a fence, or even someone's tow hitch, it always makes me stop and think. I start wondering about the previous owner of the shoes, why they got rid of them, and what made them dispose of them in such a manner.

    Anyway, this is definitely a thought provoking shot. Well done, Julia!
