    You were able to get the butterfly super sharp and the purple flowers against the orange butterfly work super well.  I do agree the shadow is a little distracting… more

    Painted ladies have so much more intricate patterns than monarchs, although they're not as bold. I regret there's a shadow on this one's wings, but I imagine it's tough… more

    Painted ladies have so much more intricate patterns than monarchs, although they're not as bold. I regret there's a shadow on this one's wings, but I imagine it's tough trying to focus on a fast-moving insect! The background is lovely, with that intense color from the lavender flowers.
