“ Abandoned ”

An abandoned Peanut drying Mill located in Aubrey, Texas. In the 1980's peanuts replaced cotton as the #1 crop in this area.

When it was functioning at it's peak "The Golden Peanut Company" would process an average of 3,000 tons of peanuts annually. The company shut down in 1997, ...

I like your image. I was raised in Eastern NM and we had a large peanut plant in Portales. The water played out and it is no longer in production. Your image is… more

I like your image. I was raised in Eastern NM and we had a large peanut plant in Portales. The water played out and it is no longer in production. Your image is sharp and I like the other building in the background. The colors of the building show their aging. Two things I would suggest, crop the darker part of the bottom almost to the grass and darken the clouds - maybe using dodge or something else. Really a good image.
