The ‘rough’ wool is from a Herdwick sheep which are part of the landscape in the Lake District UK. They don’t live anywhere else. Their wool is too rough to use in the normal way. This wool is being combined with a softer blend ( the yellow wool) to create a textured crocheted blanket.I love ...

    How neat.  I looked up Herdwick sheep - they're so cute!!!!  The brown is their wool?  It does look very textured and maybe scratchy?  Great macro!
