“ Upgraded escalators ”
The old escalators were upgraded in the train station recently but they made a lovely artwork out of the old wooden treads. B&W made the scene feel old and the juxtaposition between the old and new felt right. I liked the lone traveler ascending too otherwise it felt a little flat

Oh wow - this is an interesting location and the black and white is really unique vibe. So many lines and patterns.

Rodney, I love all the lines in this, both in the escalators and in the artwork up above.

I like to look at images without reading what is written first - and I found it really hard to marry the bright steps with the dark sculpture into one image in my mind to start with. But then my eye got caught in the steps going up in straight lines and flowing around the fluid shape of the sculpture, and I realised it's a superb and memorable juxtaposition. I know you are hands tied as to the illumination of this image - but I would really like to see if it's possible, with a double image or in post, to get the tonal values of the two parts of the image closer together - and if that is a better or worse outcome. I really like the dark cloud of the past hanging over the clean bright present, as it is, but can't help wondering..... Lovely image that it has been a pleasure to spend some time viewing and considering. Thank you!

This is amazing. Love the art work and the way you’ve captured the twisty lines of it.
