“ Barbed life ”

I struggled with this week, as the area around my flat is not very inspiring to say the least. However, I was quite happy with this one, tried to get the barbed wire dividing the sky from a slate roof to create a somewhat abstract feel.

The sharp focus on the barbs against the soft focus of the roof and sky beyond work well creating that surreal abstract; my only critic would be possibly to have tilted… more

The sharp focus on the barbs against the soft focus of the roof and sky beyond work well creating that surreal abstract; my only critic would be possibly to have tilted the camera forward one degree to get the barbed wire to sit exactly on the ridge line and lose the light bleed below the wire. I think including the different texture of the brickwork in the lower sixth works well at anchoring the shot

I think that going with black and white works! And it does look abstract and minimalist. The only thing that I think will make it better is the barb wire could have intersected the frame in equal parts ending on bottom left corner.
