“ Awakening ”

While the rest of the garden sleeps, wrapped in brown Winter blankets, one warm morning this week a cluster of crocus by my front door announced that Spring is near. Their vibrant colors rising and stretching toward the warming sun put a skip in the steps of my morning walk.
