i was retrieving my cat from the garden and managed to get a splinter on our fence. i then looked closer and saw how intricate a piece of wood really is.

    Hi Evie, sorry to hear that you got a splinter but nice work recognizing an opportunity to get a detailed shot :) I like the grain of the wood and I especially like how the center of the image is in focus while the surrounding material is a little blurred, I think it almost gives it a sense of movement and definitely draws the attention to the detailed texture, though I kinda wish there was some accent point in that area of focus, a bug or a nail sticking out of the wood or really anything that could stand out amidst the details. Regardless, nice work :)
