So this week I choose to shoot an Alluim that is getting past it's prime. I upped the exposure to 1 before shooting. I then took the photo into photoshop and turned it into a black and white. I felt the tones showed off the details better. I also tweaked the highlights and shadows a bit. ...

    Tammy,  Looks like we had the same idea though I left the color in mine and yours is awesome with the spider web, or what appears to be coming down the stem.  Great choice in black and white.  I would have maybe pushed the highlights if possible to make the flower stand out but maybe that would have lost the detail that it sounds like you wanted to keep?  Great composition - Allium for the win :)

    Usually we see the allium in colour but I like the black and white and agree that it shows off the wonderful details. Nicely captured, Tammy.
