I had a bunch of ideas and photos to choose from this week but I went with macro Mr. Grasshopper since I don’t do it often. It takes a lot of patience to get the focus just right.

    The high-key treatment works nicely here. I would probably clone out or crop the blurred object in the lower right corner. Although I am definitely drawn to the grasshopper face, my eye is pulled to that spot. Great DOF on this beautiful specimen.

    The lighting makes this look so different from the usual shots of grasshoppers. Like how the antennae are used as leading lines into your pof.
