“ Snowy Afternoon ”

Not much this week, mostly rain and gloomy days. Typical for Western Pennsylvania. But we got a couple inches of snow this morning and this is the best of my 22 pictures of the week.

Great that we can see the snow falling. Despite the branch as a leading line on the diagonal across the image, the main subject gets lost in all of the branches. I think… more

Great that we can see the snow falling. Despite the branch as a leading line on the diagonal across the image, the main subject gets lost in all of the branches. I think it is partially because of the really white section on the left and that it is centered. Framing away from the distracting background and/or placing it using the rule of thirds would help draw more attention to it. I like the red tones that are throughout the image. These are what helps move my eye around your image. Great focus on the bird in the middle and I really that you were able to capture a second bird in the background.
