“ Let Your Light so Shine ”

This is a Himalayan salt lamp. I wrote the following poem 'Salt of the Earth' in honour of our nurses, who have worked & countinue to work tirelessly across an ever-changing global pandemic platform; as well as those who are working in war-torn Ukraine.

I hope you can catch the irony in 'the lady with the lamp' where the mother of nursing, Florence Nightingale (fondly known as 'the lady with the lamp') nursed wounded soldiers in the Crimean War. In the 21st Century (2014/2022) I am honouring nurses - same geography, different time, different war.
