“ Normanton Church ”
Normanton Church was built in two stages, 1826 & 1911 on the site of a much earlier medieval church. It was originally dedicated to St Matthew but is now deconsecrated. St Matthew was, according to the Bible, one of Jesus' disciples and wrote the first book of the New Testament.
