“ Three Pods ”
I went for a walk this week and these elongated pods beckoned me to take their picture against the beautiful, sunny blue sky. Using the app "Picture This" I discovered that this plant is Phormium - New Zealand Flax. There was a note on the app that read "your plant looks sick".

    Three fingers reaching up into the sky trying to grasp the blue color. I think the app said it was a sick plant because there are no leaves on it. There's nothing wrong with empty stems when seeds are growing!

    No they are not sick, I have lots of flax plants in my garden and these look find to me. Flax is used a lot in my culture. From making kete/baskets to clothing and flowers, hats  and rope. I have done a couple of flax weaving classes in the past. Love this shot Solna, it is love seeing flax growing so far groom home. This flower is made from flax that has been dyed.
