“ Surprise Visitor ”
I helped a friend at their Christmas tree farm this weekend. This bat surprised everyone when it tumbled out of the tree that just been cut. I had my camera in hand and quickly took a photo before the bat suddenly took flight.

    What a surprise to find this critter in a tree.   Good "instant reflexes"  to capture this.  Hope it was allright and flew off to find another tree to perch on.  Not very common,  but the bat is one of my spirit animas.

    Well, dang! You have fantastic reflexes, and this is an amazing photograph. It shows everything very clearly. I love but I'm also sad for the outstretched wings. Poor little critter. He looks like he just finished a belly flop on the wrong surface. I've never heard of a bat living in a Christmas tree before. Maybe Santa is experimenting with alternative ways to watch little children?
