    Always great when the image tells a story, particularly a personal one, it makes the image more powerful. I like the warm colour of the background and it's softness, which provides a good juxtaposition to the detail of the ring. I agree with Kay, in that I would have liked to have seen all of the reflection and might have been tempted to place the ring slightly more off centre in the frame.
