“ Natural abstract ”

This is a macro shot of lichen on a fallen Poplar tree. I visit these colonies often and usually photograph them, Because they are on a curved surface and very tiny (this whole area is about 2" across) it's always a delight when it's in focus. I love the subtle colors and myriad textures.
