Nice photo. The fast shutter speed is really interesting - it freezes the ripples in the water, makes it the more dynamic part of the photo. I think this would be interesting to look at in black and white. There are some great textures there.

Lovely photo, together with all the layers - the trunk on the right, the tree on the left, the river in the middle, town in background. I wonder if the left tree would be more pronounced as the subject if we didn't have the tree trunk on the right? Or if the tree trunk was a bit brighter? Good job on the rule of thirds - vertically. I think what would happen if you changed perspective a bit - maybe stood on a bench of something - to make the coast a bit bigger and sky a bit smaller. Maybe you'd have three horizontal "zones" that fit into the rule of thirds as well? Anyway, lovely photo. I visited Stockholm once, and this is exactly how I remember it.

My mum had an expression for these days "it smells cold!" I agree, -3C is cold enough to be uncomfortable unless the air is really still. I like the muted… more
