I had to crop this shot quite a bit in order to get the composition to focus on this week's theme and I think it helps highlight some of the gold hardware on my Gertsch Electromatic.

    Nice subject/composition for a depth of field shot and lovely warm colours. Perhaps the finer detail (string windings etc) could have been sharper - not sure whether… more

    Nice subject/composition for a depth of field shot and lovely warm colours. Perhaps the finer detail (string windings etc) could have been sharper - not sure whether this is your heavy crop, or the slow shutter speed (did you use a tripod + remote or delayed shutter?). My other suggestion would be to consider using a darker background behind the neck to further isolate the subject. That said, lovely guitar (I’m quite jealous) and good capture ?.

    Very interesting perspective and a good example of DOF. My only wish would be a little bit lighter background to better highlight the guitar.  I really like that the clear focus is in the frame with the both the foreground and background out of focus.
