“ Spring at Night ”

This week I had no desire to get out and experiment for the challenge. Life has been hard and I am exhausted. This shot was in front of me as I sat on my front porch last night and I found the lines of light, greens of the host, and browns of the wood chips to be calm and inspirational.

I really like the light and shadows on your lovely, well-focused leaves. I also like the wood chips and the light rays coming out like spikes. What baffles me is the black circle at the bottom of the image…I’m guessing that it’s the light fixture. I think that it detracts from the image and perhaps could be significantly cropped off. Isn’t it nice how natural beauty is as close as your front porch?
