So I tried to get a shot with some motion blur of my daughter crossing and exploring this log and surrounding area. I seem to have got the blur on her and not the area. Maybe I needed a slower shutter speed. Didn’t quite get the shot I envisioned. Not much else to work with this week so ...

I like your concept and agree, that shutter speed makes it hard for motion blur on a slow moving subject and yields a pretty dark overall image.
