Humboldt Park is my favorite Chicago park, so I decided to take my minimalist challenge there. It was a bitterly cold day and my hands were shaking. This strange gate on the lagoon has always intrigued me and the deep snow cover provided a stark contrast to the black geometric lines of the gate.

Great negative space and that gate is so interesting- I really like how as the gate turns the corner and your eye continues to follow the line of the curb.
