“ The cross in my pocket.... ”
Given to me by a friend many years ago to help me through a bad patch. I wanted the Bible as a background and it opened to this page. A verse I had underlined also many years ago.
Taken with window light, on a tripod using same settings as low key. Used 10 sec timer to get hand in place.

    This works well in black and white and I like your total black background and surrounds which makes your subjects stand out. Your arm and hand act as a leading line to the text you want to show and grasping the cross imparts hope and belief or trust in the words. Very powerful! Well done Christine

    A beautiful composition that gives power to both the hand with the cross and the Bible page with the highlighted text, Christine.  I love the way the hand is grasping the cross, suggesting a real source of comfort.  The choice of black and white was also very effective for this shot.  Great work for this challenge!!
