I am totally obsessed with books, especially financial literacy and self-help. Slow shutter-speed is a total new field for me. Practice as few shots outside also, struggled abit with the DoF .

    A really unique idea!!!  I am sure you tried many different angles but maybe shot from the side a bit lower?  I'm glad you included this one!

    Wonderful idea! You could maybe get a friend to flip the pages for you, while you work the camera? Also decreasing the aperture value to a 7-9 may help with the DoF. Or… more

Or, like Michaela suggested, focus of an object which is placed where you would be, set a timer, and then run to position. I've tried that a few times. It's fun ?

    Did you use a tripod? When you are in the shot the best thing to do is pre focus your camera. Put an object where you would be, focus the camera on that spot, then set… more

    Did you use a tripod? When you are in the shot the best thing to do is pre focus your camera. Put an object where you would be, focus the camera on that spot, then set the camera/lens to manual focus. It will freeze the focus point, the camera won't refocus when you shoot....good luck
